  • REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS - Mainline Sewer Camera Inspection System
    Burlington Public Works is requesting proposals from manufacturer’s representatives for a mainline sewer camera inspection system. The city is looking for a user friendly camera system capable of filming 6”to 30” diameter pipe(s) at a minimum. Click here for detailed information in the full RFP.


  • RULES FOR WINTER PARKING BAN
    When a winter parking ban is declared it is enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. with the exception of the Downtown zone in which parking is banned from midnight to 7:00 a.m. (The Downtown Zone is defined as Zone F - Easternmost boundary shall be defined and include S. Willard St from Pearl to Maple. The Southernmost boundary shall be defined by and include Maple St. from S. Willard to S. Winooski Ave, S. Winooski Ave from Maple to Adams St, Adams St. from S. Winooski to St. Paul, St Paul form Adams to Kilburn St, and Kilburn St. The West boundary shall be defined by Lake Champlain.) Please do not park in Municipal Parking Lots over night during the parking Bans.

    Parking is available in the Market Place Parking Garage and the Macy's Parking Garage on the Lower decks only. Vehicles must be removed by 8:00 a.m. or they will be charged the full day's rate.

    Any vehicles remaining on the street during the parking ban will be issued a $100.00 parking ticket and will be towed to another location.

  • SIDEWALK STRATEGIC PLAN
    Starting in fiscal year 2010, sidewalk improvements will be prioritized using the new Sidewalk Strategic Plan. Using this plan, sidewalks in the worst condition in the areas with the greatest potential for use by pedestrians will be repaired first. In addition, greenbelt restoration, curb restoration, and ADA compliance will be addressed at the same time. Click here for the five year sidewalk repair plan.
