Transportation planning helps to identify both the important transportation problems facing Burlington and possible solutions.

We determine the services needed by transportation customers (citizens and business) and balance those needs with competing demands to form a common, financially feasible vision.

Because of diverse ownership of the transportation system, our goal is to improve coordination and ensure transportation facilities and services operate as a total system.

PUBLIC WORKS COMMISSION ADOPTS DRAFT TRANSPORTATION PLAN
At their December 5, 2007 meeting the Burlington Public Works Commission adopted the Draft Transportation Plan and referred it to the Planning Commission and City Council Tranjsportation Energy and Utilities Committee for their consideration and eventual incorporation into the City's Municipal Development Plan..
